The 5th annual Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Awards: Book, Creative Collection and Digital Contribution 2020 ceremony was held last night, at The Square in Constitutional Hill, Johannesburg, where leading HSS scholars and academics congregated to honour and celebrate outstanding contributions to the humanities and social sciences by academics, curators and artists based at participating South African universities.
Author, Brian Willan, won the award for Best Non-Fiction Biography for his wonderful bookSol Plaatje: A life of Solomon Tshekisho Plaatje 1876-1932.
