COVID-19 Update:The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 6783.

 

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in South Africa has risen to 6783.

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize, said that the numbers has increased by 447, and the highest 24-hour tally to date in the country.

Regretablly,with eight more deaths reported, 2 from Western Cape, 4 from the Eastern Cape and 2 from Gauteng. This brings the total deaths to 131.

“We wish to express our condolences to the families of the deceased and salute the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.”

He added that a total of 245,747 people have been tested, with 15,061 people tested in the past 24 hours.
