2024 Elections| First results announced comes from the Eastern Cape.

The leader board at the Independent Electoral Commission ROC in Gallagher Estates in Midrand is starting to reflect results as audited.

The first results from the 2024 elections came through at 00:18 from the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela municipality in the Eastern Cape. 

Zinini Secondary School, Mbizana, Eastern Cape:

ANC 80% (-13)

MK 8% (+8)

EFF 6% (-)

DA 3% (+3)

Turnout 38% (-19)

Bizana Baptist Church, Mbizana, Eastern Cape:

ANC 61% (-12)

EFF 18% (+2)

MK 10% (+10) 

UDM 5% (+5)

DA 3% (-1)

Presenterskraal, Phumelela, Free State:

ANC 65% (-3)

DA 18% (+8)

FF+ 12% (-)

MK 4% (+4)

Turnout 49% (-6)

Mafube, Free State:

FF+ 47% (+21)

DA 26% (+2)

ANC 13% (-26)

Turnout: 44% (-30).

Florence Store in Msukaligwa, Mpumalanga:

ANC 65% (-13)

EFF 15% (+13)

MK 8% (+8)

Turnout: 60% (-12)

Voting stations for the 2024 general elections are officially closed. Only persons who were in the queue as at 9pm will be allowed to vote. The IEC has assured that these people would be allowed to vote deep into the night, if necessary.
