Molemo 'Jub Jub' Maarohanye has apologised to his former girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, after accusing the singer of using muthi to lure him.

Maarohanye has released a statement, apologising to Khumalo for any "distress, hurt" he "may have caused" after the podcast interview aired.

His apology comes after Moja Love insisted that he apologise or lose his position at the channel as the presenter and producer of some of their most popular shows, including Uyajola 9/9 and You Promised To Marry Me.

In an episode that aired on Podcast and Chill with Mac G in December 2021, Jub Jub alleged that Kelly Khumalo used muthi on him so he could break up with his girlfriend at the time, actress Amanda Du Pont. The Moja Love presenter went on to allege that "everyone knows that Kelly uses muthi".

He went on to claim that Kelly had plotted his downfall and was now intentionally keeping him away from their son, Christian.

In his apology letter, Jub Jub also begs to be a part of his son's life and "set the record straight about being an absent father".

He concludes his letter by apologising to women in South Africa for any "distress, disappointment and hurt" he says he may have caused before adding he will be taking steps to improve himself.

"I will be undergoing sensitivity classes for my use of language and I am working on myself as an individual," he says.

It is not the first time that his comments in the interview with Mac G got him into hot water. A few days after the interview was published on YouTube, Amanda Du Pont disputed his claims and alleged that Jub Jub had raped her during their relationship, which she was afraid to leave, and detailed in an emotional video how he had allegedly tried to kill her.
