A fusion of international excellence Burna Boy is coming back to SA.

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter Burna Boy, real name Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, will be heading to South Africa for a concert in September.
The Last hit maker made waves in South Africa when he headlined the Delicious Festival last year to a rousing fanfare. Followers and supporters of the African megastar will once again be mesmerised by his many hits including Ye, Bank On It and Anybody from acclaimed albums Love, Damini (2022), African Giant (2019) and Twice as Tall (2020) among others.
Many attendees who made their way to the venue last year to watch Burna Boy perform live, complained about the chaos that erupted around Kyalami due to massive traffic jams and various other logistical issues as thousands of his fans clambered to see him perform.
This could very well be why FNB stadium has been chosen as the venue for his performance this year.
Burna Boy has solidified his status as one of the greatest African stars after being awarded the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic plaque for his achievements in music. Earlier this year Rolling Stone ranked him number 197 on its list of the 200 greatest singers of all time. Burna Boy is a multi-award-winning artist whose music has taken over the world, says Ternary Music Group CEO, Sedote Nwachukwu:
"African talent knows no bounds and Burna Boy is the best example of that. Not only was he the first Nigerian artist to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York. He continued on to headline and sell out stadium shows in both London and New York. This African giant's footsteps speak for themselves and we are convinced he will be able to do the same at FNB stadium in September."
Describing his music as Afro-fusion, blending the genres R&B, hip hop, dancehall, and reggae, Burna Boy continues to use his creativity to bring new sounds to the fore. His most recent song, Sitting on top of the World infuses the Darkchild and Brandy hit with his Afro fusion, making it an instant, refreshing hit.
The four-time BET award winner's generous catalogue of Afrobeats hits is sure to make this Stadium spectacular a memorable one. Tickets to the not to be missed show start from R765 at ticketpro.co.za.
