Gold Reef City goes for gold with record-breaking CANSA Zumbathon.


In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Gold Reef City along with CANSA and Icarus media, are going for gold in setting the South African record for hosting a Zumbathon with the most participants. Gold Reef City is encouraging everyone to contribute to making history in a meaningful way, by supporting those affected by cancer through fund-raising for CANSA.

Gold Reef City, SA’s most loved local entertainment spot, is hosting a Zumbathon ( on Sunday, 13 October at the Jozi Urban Market ( The aim of this exciting event is to set a record for the most people participating in a Zumbathon in South Africa and to raise much needed funds for CANSA. 

The Shades of Pink Zumbathon and Jozi Urban Market are aiming to attract a diverse group of people from all walks of life! Whether you are young or old, fit or flat, big or small - get involved and join us in making history with this gruelling 90-minute session. And, when it’s all said and done, enjoy a delicious, guiltless meal washed down with an exotic and tasty beverage - you will be spoilt for choice at the popular Jozi Urban Market!

The Jozi Urban Market is situated on the fifth-floor covered carpark rooftop of Gold Reef City Casino, which offers a spectacular view of Johannesburg. Gold Reef City charges R10 to enter the Casino parking while entrance to the Jozi Urban Market and Kid’s Zone is free.
