KwaZulu-Natal rivals AmaZulu and Maritzburg United played to a 0-0 draw.

Kwazulu-Natal rivals AmaZulu and Maritzburg United played to a 0-0 draw in an Absa Premiership fixture at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi this afternoon.

The result leaves Usuthu in 15th place on the log standings, two points and five places behind the Team of Choice who end the weekend in 10th spot.

Both teams will return to league action next weekend with AmaZulu away to Black Leopards while Maritzburg will also be in the Limpopo province to take on a struggling Polokwane City side.

Meanwhile Chippa United and Baroka FC also played to a 0-0 draw in an Absa Premiership fixture at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The result ends the Chilli Boys winning running in the league and leaves them bottom of the log standings, a point from safety. Baroka move up to 12th, but remain just a point clear of the relegation zone.

Both teams will be in league action next weekend with Baroka at home to Orlando Pirates while Chippa travel west to take on Cape Town City.
