Dstv premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the signing of Kobamelo Kodisang on a five-year deal ahead of the new season.

Kodisang joins Sundowns from Moreirense, Primeira Liga in Portugal.

The speedy winger was strongly linked to a return to South Africa last season before remaining with the club that finished sixth in the league.

Kodisang made his professional debut at Platinum Stars at the age of 15 in the 2015/16 season and spent two years with Dikwena before making the move to BidVest Wits.

He signed for lower league Sanjoanense in the 2018/19 campaign, before a move to topflight side Sporting Braga, where he spent three seasons in their reserves, playing a single Primeira Liga game.

Kodisang signed for Moreirense in 2022/23 and was an instant hit, scoring 11 goals in 25 starts as he helped them to promotion.

He made 31 appearances (19 starts) in the Portuguese topflight last season, scoring a single goal.

He has a single Bafana Bafana cap to his name, against Namibia in a 0-0 draw in a friendly clash in September last year.
