Result:Man City 1-2 Man Utd.
This was a thrilling derby but sadly there appears to have been an incident of racist abuse, with a supporter appearing to make a monkey gesture towards a Manchester United player in the second half.
With United leading 2-0, a number of objects were thrown by supporters in the home end when Fred went to take a corner in the 67th minute.
The Brazilian moved away from the corner flag before going back to take the set-piece.
City midfielder Fernandinho, along with other home players, urged the fans in that corner to calm down.
Play resumed a few moments later once referee Anthony Taylor picked up a number of objects in that area of the pitch.
Manchester City are now 14 points behind league leaders Liverpool.
However Manchester City have released a statement regarding the alleged racist abuse.
The club says: “Manchester City are aware of a video circulating on social media which appears to show a supporter making racial gestures during the second half of the match against Manchester United this evening.
“Officials from the Club are working with Greater Manchester Police in order to help them identify any individuals concerned and assist with their enquiries.
“The Club are also working with GMP regarding an instance of objects being thrown onto the field of play.”The Club operates a zero tolerance policy regarding discrimination of any kind, and anyone found guilty of racial abuse will be banned from the club for life.”
