Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus has confirmed that Cheslin Kolbe has recovered from injury for the World Cup final.
Kolbe has been battling an ankle injury since Springboks third pool game against Italy three weeks ago. While he featured in the quarter-final win against Japan, he was unable to train and subsequently left out of the match-day squad for the semi-final win over Wales.
Erasmus said ‘we are lucky enough to have a full squad of all 31 players available and ready to train.’
Kolbe has been a standout player for the Springboks at the World Cup, impressing with his aerial skills, ball in hand, with the boot and on defence.
Erasmus will name his team on Thursday, with Saturday's final at International Stadium Yokohama scheduled for 11:00 (SA time).
