Mamelodi Sundowns have began their CAF Champions League group stage campaign with a 3-0 victory over Petro de Luanda in Group C at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Mauricio Affonso opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a header towards the bottom corner from Gaston Sirino's cross on the right flank and Motjeka Madisha got the second goal just before half-hour mark with a header at the back post.
However, Sphelele Mkhulise wrapped up the game for Sundowns with only 14 minutes remaining into the match as he bagged the third goal. Sundowns will now travel to Morocco in their upcoming clash to take on Wydad Casablanca, who drew against USM Alger.
