Cape Town City have returned to winning ways in the Absa Premiership with a 2-0 victory over Bidvest Wits at Cape Town Stadium.

Kermit Erasmus broke the deadlock for City and Craig Martin doubled their lead after he went clear on goal from Bradley Ralani's through ball.

The Citizens remain in 12th place on the log but open up a four-point buffer to the relegation zone. The Clever Boys, meanwhile, remain in fourth place,12 points adrift of log leaders Kaizer Chiefs but with three games in hand.

Meanwhile Orlando Pirates continued their fine form in the Absa Premiership by walloping Highlands Park 3-1 at the Orlando Stadium.

Pirates have now gone seven games unbeaten and taken 17 points from the last 21 available.
