In a gripping international football match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Warriors of Zimbabwe, both teams battled to a 1-1 draw.
Entering their second 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match, Zimbabwe and Nigeria were both coming off draws in their previous games.
The teams faced off at Stade Huye, eager to secure crucial three points to stay competitive in Group C, especially after South Africa's 2-1 victory over Benin on Saturday.
Zimbabwe had an ideal start, securing a 26th-minute goal from Walter Musona, which they successfully maintained going into half-time.
However, in the 67th minute, the Super Eagles scored as Kelechi Iheanacho's left-footed shot from the centre of the box secured the equalising goal.
Nine teams from Africa will qualify directly, and a 10th team could make the field through an inter-continental playoff.

The result leaves both teams on two points in Group C, one point behind leader South Africa, which has a game in hand.
