India win toss, elect to field against South Africa in U19 World Cup semifinal.
By Ross Roche.
The South African U19 team was sent in to bat by their Indian counterparts after they won the toss and chose to field first in their ICC U19 World Cup semifinal at Willowmoore Park in Benoni on Tuesday morning.
It is a massive game for the hosts who will be hoping to topple the in-form pre-tournament favourites to reach the final.
SA have won four games and lost one in the tournament, but head into the semi in good form off the back of three straight wins, while India have won all their games so far.
India also beat SA twice in the Tri-Series competition before the start of the World Cup, so SA will know exactly how big the challenge is and will hopefully have made some plans to beat them.
