Orlando Pirates were held to a 1-1 draw by Baroka FC in PSL match which was played in Ellis Park,Johannesburg.

Pirates were boosted by the return of Thembinkosi Lorch but started on the bench as Tshegofatso Mabasa partnered Gabadinho Mhango.

Mabasa repaid the coach with an absolute stunner after good pressing from Mhango and ended Pirates goal drought.

Soon after, Thamsanqa Masiya made a great surging run down the right-hand side before getting to the byline and firing the ball back across goal which forced Wayne Sandilands in to taking drastic action to punch the ball out of harm's way.

However a mistake by Mhango allowed Baroka to counter and Evidence Makgopa got onto the end of a cross and buried his chance. Replays showed he was clearly offside, but the goal stood.

The result leaves Baroka FC in 13th and Orlando Pirates in 3rd. Baroka will face fellow strugglers Chippa United in their next game while Pirates take on the dangerous Cape Town City at Loftus on Sunday.
