Virat Kohli has struck his highest Test score of 254 not out against the Proteas to help his team pose a mammoth 601/5 declared in the first innings of the second test.

After India’s declaration, the Indian bowlers continued to apply pressure, in what was the last phase of play for the day in Pune. 

Kagiso Rabada was the only successful bowler on Day Two with three wickets to his name.
