President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver his fourth State of the Nation Address on Thursday.
The president will have to inspire confidence in South Africans but to achieve that, he will have to address critical issues in his address.
“The address builds on the success of the recent free and fair 2019 General Elections, which served to renew and strengthen our democracy. He will also use the opportunity to chart the course for the implementation of the electoral mandate as reflected in the 2019–2024 Medium Term Strategic Framework,” reads a statement on the South African Government website.
While SONA 2020 is set to begin at 7PM, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) said that it would disrupt Ramaphosa if Pravin Gordhan was not fired.
