Minister of Health Zweli Mkhize has announced that there are now 11,350 confirmed cases of coronavirus in South Africa.
This is an increase of 698 from the 10,652 cases reported yesterday.
The total number of deaths remains at 206, with 4,357 recoveries, unchanged from Monday’s data.
A total of 369,697 tests have been conducted in total, with 13,630 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

The Eastern Cape recorded 148 new cases, while the Western Cape recorded 484 new cases. Limpopo, Mpumalanga Northern Cape and the Free State have reported no new cases.
Meanwhile Mkhize, said they are working around the clock to contain transmissions.
Speaking in the province where he was monitoring COVID-19 responses on Monday, Mkhize said he was pleased about the additional beds put in place to deal with the high number of COVID-19 patients.
The Eastern Cape now has the third-highest number of infections in the country, while the Western Cape remains in the lead.
