Police said incidents of attacks on businesses were reported in parts of the CBD where police fired stun grenades and rubber bullets to restrain the crowd.

Fresh protests have erupted in the Johannesburg CBD and one person died while five other people were injured.
Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele confirmed that one person had died while other five people were injured during the protests.
He further said 16 people were arrested for the violence in the Johannesburg CBD.
