The sentencing of former crime intelligence boss Richard Mdluli and his co-accused, Mthembeni Mthunzi, has been postponed in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg, and will now take place on November 7 and 8.

The pair were found guilty of assault, intimidation, and kidnapping at the end of July.

The judgment relates to a 1999 kidnapping case, with the pair charged with the kidnapping of Oupa Ramogibe in 1999.

A bid for Mdluli to be granted a permanent stay of prosecution was dismissed.

The case has been ongoing for four years.
