President Cyril Ramaphosa has directed the Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane to ask the ANC about the R3 million donated to it by Bosasa.

On August 22 this year,DA leader handed the letter to Ramaphosa to have look at in parliament.

Ramaphosa promised that he would study the letter and respond to Maimane but a month later, the president has not responded, said the DA.

"This is a serious matter of accountability where many of these matters dealing with Bosasa have been discussed at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture and where I have raised this issue with the Independent Electoral Commission," Maimane wrote in his letter dated 20 September to Ramaphosa.

However in a letter dated September 25 and addressed to Mmusi Maimane, Ramaphosa states that he has reflected on the matter and that in his view, this is not an issue that relates to the mandate or responsibility of the state president.

The president’s letter to Maimane comes days after the DA leader had threatened legal action against Ramaphosa to respond to his letter.
