The Pietermaritzburg High Court has dismissed former president Jacob Zuma’s application for a permanent stay of prosecution with costs.

He faces charges of corruption, money laundering and racketeering related to the multi-billion-rand Arms Deal.

The charges against Zuma date back to 2005 and including 783 payments, totalling just over 4m he received from his then financial advisor Schabir Shaik and his Nkobi group of companies.

Also the application by Thales to strike out portions of answering affidavit of NPA's Billy Downer was dismissed.
