Stage 1 load shedding will be implemented tomorrow as the power system remains "volatile".
Eskom spokesperson Dikatso Mothae has confirmed load shedding and urged people to take precautions.
“We will continue to double our efforts in terms of working around the clock to ensure that going forward that we don’t need to load shed,” Mothae said.
The load shedding status for Sunday will only be confirmed on Saturday and rugby fans are hoping for power,when the Springboks takes on Japan in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final.
Meanwhile the department of energy said it published the incorrect version of the Integrated Resource Plan(IRP) in the Government Gazette this morning and will publish an erratum along with the cabinet-approved version.
