Public Enterprises Minister,Pravin Gordhan,has won his urgent application to suspend Public Protector's remedial action in the so called SARS rogue unit. The North Gauteng High Court has ruled that Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane must pay the costs in the matter.

Gordhan lodged an urgent application to suspend nor interdict the remedial orders by the Public Protector,after She found the minister to have broke the law when he established the intelligence unit at the tax agency.

Her remedial action stated that President Cyril Ramaphosa should discipline Gordhan within 30 days of her report and she also directed the Hawks and NPA to consider criminal charges against him. She further gave the speaker of parliament 14 days to refer the minister to parliaments ethics committee to be investigated for violating the ethics code.

Judge Sulet Potterill also said President Cyril Ramaphosa cannot be criticised for awaiting the outcome of Pravin Gordhan judicial review before He can act however the EFF said it will appeal a decision by Judge Sulet Potterill.
