JSE-listed fast-moving consumer goods manufacturer Tiger Brands has announced an extension of CEO Tjaart Kruger’s tenure for an additional three years, up to December 31, 2028.

The original arrangement was for a period of 26 months from November 1, 2023, which would have ended his tenure in January 2026.

Tiger Brands says its board recognises Kruger’s positive progress to date with Tiger Brands’ long-term strategic turnaround plan, including his appointment of new executive MDs for the group’s six operating divisions.

He also successfully implemented a new operating model for the group and improved group culture and staff engagement since the start of his tenure.

The board believes this decision will provide leadership certainty to Tiger Brands’ multiple stakeholders and the necessary runway for the group’s succession plans.
