SA Police Service in Gauteng police launched an investigation into the shooting incident that occurred in Eldorado Park extension four in the south of Johannesburg that’s claimed the lives of two people.
Police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says that cops were summoned to a shooting scene at Eldorado Park, Ext 4, where they found two lifeless bodies with gunshot wounds.
“The victims are 20 and 22 years old, and the motive of the shooting is unknown, “Nevhuhulwi said.
She added that police are investigating a case of murder.
Meanwhile Mpumalanga police are investigating a deadly shooting at a tavern in Tweefontein on Sunday.
Two unknown gunmen entered the tavern and began shooting indiscriminately, killing three men.
Provincial police spokesperson Donald Mdhluli says the motive for the shooting is still unknown.
“Police are investigating three counts of murder and so far no one has been arrested as yet. The victims, who are known to the SAPS, have not yet been formally identified by their families. The motive for the shooting is currently unknown.
A 72-hour mobilisation plan has been activated and a team of experts in the investigation field has been assembled with a hope to track down the suspects.
