EFF is the only political party that has a plan to change SA |Malema.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema addressed the party’s Mpumalanga Provincial Manifesto Launch in Kwanyamazane on Saturday.

Just a week ago, Gauteng hosted its provincial manifesto launch which saw thousands of party members filling up the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.

Members of the Eswatini EFF leadership and the People’s United Democratic Movement in Eswatini (PUDEMO) were present at the launch.

Malema, says the party will reject the closure of coal mines in South Africa in particular in Mpumalanga.

“There is no plan to transition to a renewable energy source in a way that will secure jobs and ensure energy security in South Africa and to make matters worse there have been no consultations with South Africans about the planned closing of coal power stations. 

“We must lead the revolt in these communities but more importantly, the EFF must begin to develop a coherent and practical energy policy to protect the environment and jobs while not having the dangerous influence of the west, Malema said.”

“The EFF is the only political party in South Africa that has a plan to change our country to create jobs, to return the land and to address the issue of load shedding. If you look at the 256 pages of the EFF’s election manifesto it goes into details, we provide the background information and we give people really indication how are going to achieve this, added Malema”

The EFF is on a drive to attract support ahead of the May 29 general elections. Those who attended the manifesto launch say they believe that the EFF is well positioned to take the province and country forward.

PUDEMO in Eswatini expressed its good wishes for the EFF ahead of the general elections.

“The manifesto talks about the pain here and it also talk about the pain of your relatives that are oppressed in Swaziland and anywhere else in the world. So we want to urge all of you to go and remind those who could not be here today to say there is a movement that cares about all of us. We want to wish the EFF well. We are looking forward for the 29th because we know you will do the right decisions because you know what you have to do, “says PUDEMO’s president Mlungisi Makhanya.

The party’s provincial chairperson, Collen Sedibe said that since his party is forever growing in the province, with young people joining, they are looking at attracting new membership to be part of this launch.

Sedibe said their manifesto’s theme for the 2024 elections is ‘Our land, jobs now and stop load-shedding’.

“Our theme speaks to the daily issues and challenges still faced by our people. What we are saying here is that there is simply no life at all without land, employment opportunities and electricity. The unemployment rate is at an all-time high, while load-shedding has become the norm. Sadly, both unemployment and load-shedding contribute hugely towards the high poverty levels in which our people live,” said Sedibe.

He also stressed that the manifesto they are launching was not cooked up in secret and in offices, but was born after massive community engagement with different sectors such as tourism, education, health, security and even domestic workers.

The party will hold its next provincial manifesto in the North West next weekend.
