The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema delivered the party’s manifesto in Free State, centering election promises on land expropriation and job creation among others.
Malema addressed the party’s Free State Manifesto Launch at Harry Gwala Multipurpose in Sasolburg, Zamdela.
Amidst cheers and applause, Malema took center stage and delivered a moving keynote address, charming the audience with his trademark charisma and passion.
He wasted no time in stating the EFF’s role in bringing tangible change to the province, declaring, “Where the EFF governs, you will see that the EFF was there.”
Central to Malema’s message was the issue of land redistribution, a cornerstone of the EFF’s agenda.
Malema highlighted the party’s commitment to ensuring that the people of the Free State have access to land for agricultural purposes.
“We want land to be given to our people here in Free State, and not just land to settle. We want our people to be given proper land where they can do farming. There must be a farmer from each and every family,” he said.
Malema did not shy away from criticizing other opposition parties, particularly on the issue of corruption.
He lambasted the lack of accountability within Free State’s municipalities, highlighting the failure to achieve clean audits as a damning accusation of the status quo.
“In Free State, there are 23 municipalities, and not even a single one can produce a clean audit according to the auditor general,” said Malema.
He pointed fingers at figures like FS premier Mxolisi Dukwana, accusing them of contributing to the collapse of local governance while being rewarded with promotions.
