The proceedings in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial have been postponed by the Gauteng High Court, Pretoria, to Monday, 28 October.
The postponement comes after defence lawyer Advocate Thulani Mngomezulu, has again reported ill, forcing an early adjournment.
Mngomezulu represents accused number 1, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya.
During the proceedings, State prosecutor Advocate George Baloyi read in court the medical certificate submitted by Mngomezulu, that he has been booked off due to ill-health.
As a result, the presiding judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng postponed the proceedings to Monday.
The Bafana Bafana captain was shot while at the home of his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo, in what the State believes was a hit called by Khumalo.
Lead investigator Brigadier Bongani Gininda, who heads the National Cold Case Unit, began his testimony last week, shedding light on the police investigations that led to the arrest of the five accused.
Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Sifisokuhle Nkani Ntuli are all accused. They face charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances. Also possession of firearms without a licence and possession of ammunition.
They have pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
