Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has announced his final squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
South Africa is scheduled to play with the neighbours Lesotho at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday, 21 March and they will then fly by charter plane to Benin to face the West African nation on Monday, 24 March 2025.
Bafana Bafana sit in second place in Group C with seven points, level with Rwanda and Benin, while Lesotho are fourth with five points – two ahead of favourites Nigeria.
Broos named a 37-member preliminary squad a week ago. This preliminary squad included some of the new faces.These players include Samukelo Kabini and Khulumani Ndamane from TS Galaxy and Sekhukhune United’s Siphesihle Mkhize.
Broos announced his final squad for the two must-win games on Thursday at the SABC studios.
