Kaizer Chiefs Football Club have announced the exit of a fifth player, Mduduzi Mdantsane, ahead of their pre-season camp in Europe.
Mdantsane joined Chiefs at the start of the 2023/24 season from Cape Town City, but he struggled to make an impact, featuring in just 16 matches across all competitions and scoring two goals. His lack of game time at Chiefs led to a loan spell at Richards Bay FC in January.
“Kaizer Chiefs and midfielder, Mduduzi Mdantsane have mutually agreed to part ways,” the club stated. The 30-year-old player joined Amakhosi from Cape Town City at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.”
His departure follows those of Edmilson Dove, Sabelo Radebe, Ranga Chivaviro, and in addition to Njabulo Blom’s return to his parent club St Louis City SC in the MLS.
Chiefs have since returned to the village in Naturena to begin the first part of their pre-season preparations. They will depart for the Netherlands on July 3 where they will undergo a pre-season tour.
