Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has hinted he will fight Oleksandr Usyk in a trilogy bout at Wembley Stadium in 2026.
Fury announced he had retired from boxing in January earlier this year, one month on from his unanimous decision defeat to Usyk in the pair’s heavyweight rematch.
The 36-year-old has since teased a return by posting footage of him back in the gym alongside trainer SugarHill Steward.
The Gypsy King made the announcement on Instagram. “April 18 2026 Wembley Stadium. The trilogy!”, Fury posted on social media on Thursday.
“I want my fair shout, and I don’t believe I’ve got a fair shout the last two times. I don’t know what I’m going to have to do, because I can’t let it go to a decision.
But speaking in Turkey, Fury insisted that Dubois does not stand a chance.
He said: “I don’t think Dubois wins anyway. Your man is a wily old fox and he moves his feet.”We all know that, if you stand in front of Daniel Dubois, he will put a hole in you.
“If you move around him, he will probably take a knee after about eight rounds, off a jab.”
Usyk is currently gearing up to face IBF heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on July 19.
The trilogy bout may depend on the outcome of Usyk’s meeting with Dubois next month. Usyk will become a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion should he defeat the Briton.
