Proteas stand in captain Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to field first in the third and final ODI against the West Indies at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on Tuesday morning.
Regular Proteas skipper Temba Bavuma, who scored a sparkling 142 in the second ODI on Saturday, was withdrawn from the squad as a precaution after feeling discomfort in his hamstring, with Markram stepping in to captain as one of four changes to the team.
Heinrich Klaasen comes in for Quinton de Kock, David Miller for Tristan Stubbs and Wayne Parnell for Tabraiz Shamsi in the other changes, while the Windies make no changes to their side.
The first ODI was washed out at Buffalo Park in East London last week Thursday, while the second ODI at the same ground on Saturday saw the Windies pick up a thumping 48-run win, meaning the Proteas can only draw the series with a win in today’s final game of the series.
