United Arab Pro League side Al Wahda has confirmed the termination of Pitso “Jingles” Mosimane’s contract as their head coach.
The club issued a statement few minutes ago.
“Al-Wahda terminates its contract with Pitso Mosimane by mutual consent,” the statement read.
The management of Al Wahda Football Club Company decided to appoint Arno Buitenweg as coach of the first team during the coming period, wishing him success.”
The contract termination comes after Mosimane took charge of the team for just over three months.
Mosimane achieved mixed results during his tenure as Wahda are currently sitting in fifth place, five points behind leaders Al Ain after six UAE league matches.
Just last week, reports from the UAE highlighted that Mosimane experienced a sudden illness, leading to an urgent hospitalisation for treatment.
There’s been speculation Mosimane will be joining Ahly’s Cairo rivals Zamalek but others are linking him with a vacant job with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.
