The toss for the third T20I between England and South Africa at Trent Bridge in Nottingham has been delayed due to rain.
The first game was also hit by multiple rain interruptions and only 7.5 overs were played in the first innings before the game was reduced to a five-over game in the second innings, which South Africa won by 14 runs.
In the second game, England created history with a record total of 304, marking the first instance of 300 being scored in a T20I against a full member side.
England and South Africa’s T20I rivalry has been closely contested. In 28 encounters, the Proteas edge ahead with 14 victories to England’s 13, with just one game washed out.
With Phil Salt and Jos Buttler in irresistible touch and England’s middle order brimming with confidence, the hosts will hope their momentum carries into the series finale. South Africa, meanwhile, will look to regroup quickly and maintain their narrow historical advantage.
