The Cell C Sharks have made a number of changes to their side to face the Toyota Cheetahs in their Carling Currie Cup match on Saturday, including a new front row.
Coach Etienne Fynn has named Khwezi Mona, Fez Mbatha and Lourens Adriaanse up front to front up to the strong Cheetahs front row, replacing Dian Bleuler, Kerron van Vuuren and Wiehahn Herbst who did duty against the Airlink Pumas last weekend.
There are more changes up front as Emile van Heerden moves into the second row and replaces Ruben van Heerden, while Dylan Richardson swops with James Venter at openside and Mpilo Gumede replaces Sikhumbuzo Notshe.
Many of the changes will be to shake up the side that didn’t perform in the loss against the Pumas and will be looking for a better performance, especially as they are under immense pressure with both the Pumas and Windhoek Draught Griquas breathing down their necks in the race for semifinal spots.
There is just the one change to the backline, where Murray Koster replaces Ethan Fisher at centre while Maties star Nevaldo Fleurs will line up at fullback as well.
