The Moroccan U20 team received the heroes welcome in Rabat on Wednesday during a parade to celebrate their historic World Cup win.
Morocco made history last week on Sunday after defeating Argentina to win the final game 2-0.
The players dedicated the win to the Moroccan people and King Mohammed VI, thanking the monarch for his commitment to football development.
The monarch has also expressed his pride, sending a heartfelt message to Morocco’s under-20 national team.
“Just as you delighted and brought joy to passionate football fans, you have also filled us with happiness, along with the entire Moroccan people,” King Mohammed VI said in a heartwarming message.
Fans lined up along Rabat avenues and streets waving flags and dancing, cheering, and carrying football players pictures as well as their phones to capture the moment.
Morocco will host the Africa Cup of Nations later this year and will be co-hosts of the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal.
