South Africa’s most celebrated golfers are part of a unique new series using the latest drone technology in golf to showcase the venerable Old Course in St Andrews in a way never seen before.
The series, in partnership with the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and HAS Immersive, uses cutting-edge 3D mapping, data modelling and drone videography to give viewers the most realistic overview of the iconic holes on the Old Course.
It’s the first time in the history of golf’s most famous course that it has been viewed in this way.
The series takes this a step further by using golf legends to talk the viewer through their experience of their favourite hole on the golf course, offering their tips on how to play the hole and their own memories of each hole.
South African golf legends Gary Player, Ernie Els and Louis Oosthuizen are part of this innovative new series, which also features Sir Nick Faldo and includes other Major champions.
The series is currently being rolled out on the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship social media channels, including Twitter (@dunhilllinks) and Instagram (dunhilllinks).
