Excitement around the Men’s Rugby World Cup in 2027 has intensified following confirmation of the official ticket presale window and the release of a new global campaign featuring two giants of the sport, England’s Jonny Wilkinson and Australia’s George Gregan. The announcement arrives just days before the highly anticipated tournament draw takes place in Sydney.

From Wednesday 18 February 2026, rugby supporters will have the first opportunity to secure seats for what is set to be the largest Men’s Rugby World Cup ever hosted. The presale period will run for two weeks and is expected to attract exceptional demand, continuing the strong interest shown when Superfan Passes sold out earlier in the year.

To enter the presale, fans must create a ticketing account before midday AEDT on Tuesday 17 February 2026. Seats will then be available on a first come first served basis through the official website. More than two and a half million tickets will go on sale for the tournament, with prices beginning at forty Australian dollars for pool matches and sixty five dollars for fixtures involving the Wallabies. Over one million seats will fall below the one hundred dollar mark, aligning with organisers’ ambition to deliver the most accessible Rugby World Cup to date.

The presale will include all fifty two matches across multiple price categories, including the opening game in Perth on 1 October and the final in Sydney on 13 November. Supporters are urged to register early and to purchase only through sanctioned channels to avoid disappointment.

Alongside the presale announcement, a new teaser film has been released celebrating the camaraderie and rivalry that define the sport. The short clip reunites Wilkinson and Gregan more than twenty years after their unforgettable showdown in the 2003 final, where Wilkinson’s decisive drop goal denied Australia the title. The full campaign will premiere on 2 December across broadcast, digital and social platforms.

Chris Stanley, Managing Director of the Men’s Rugby World Cup Australia 2027, said the tournament promises to deliver the most vibrant and dynamic atmosphere the game has seen. He described the presale as a rare chance for fans to secure their place at a defining moment in global rugby.

Attention now turns to the tournament draw, which will be broadcast live on Wednesday 3 December across multiple platforms including RugbyPass TV and the World Rugby YouTube channel from 10:00am South African time. Brett Robinson said the entire ticketing strategy had been shaped around a simple priority, placing supporters at the heart of the event.

He added that the 2027 tournament will celebrate the values of rugby, aim to inspire new audiences and help grow the sport’s global presence through an inclusive and family centred experience.
