The memorial of the late Dumile Mateza is currently under way at the SABC Studios in Johannesburg.
Mateza passed away after a long illness last week at the age of 62. The multilingual broadcaster worked for the SABC on both radio and television platforms. He became a popular SABC Sports commentator in the early 1980s.
He was also one of the SABC’s Afrikaans commentators during the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
