Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema took a combative stance and refused to respond to some questions when he testified in the Equality Court in AfriForum’s Kill the Boer case on Wednesday.
He is back in court and currently testifying.
Afriforum maintains the ‘Kill the Boer’s struggle song constitutes hate speech and leads to an increase in farm murders and attacks.
But Malema told the court that the song was used to send a message by the forefathers.
“We are not barbaric, our people sang this song when they were angry, but they never killed them. We are angry but not like those who came before us, we have no reason to kill them, we are just telling them through song that we don’t like you because you killed our parents and stole our land.”
