Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) secured a 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Premiership match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Chiefs made three enforced changes, as goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma, Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Reeve Frosler replaced Daniel Akpeyi, Eric Mathoho and the suspended Daniel Cardoso.
The win saw Vhadau Vha Damani climb up to 14th place on the league standings as they climbed out of the relegation zone, while Amakhosi remained ninth on the log.
After a quiet start to the half, Thabo Mnyamane had the first chance for TTM in the 22nd minute after cutting inside from the right wing before seeing his strike palmed away Bvuma.
Chiefs had Njabulo Blom sent off for a second bookable offence as early as the 38th minute.
They conceded soon after that, Thabo Rakhale striking TTM into the lead with a peach of a strike in the 42nd.
TTM had a big chance to double their lead nine minutes inside the second stanza after Celimpilo Ngema went clear on goal but his low drive was saved by Bvuma, before Ngema blasted one wide with only Ngezana to beat.
Chiefs were awarded a penalty after Samir Nurkovic was fouled in the box and Lebogang Manyama scored to make it 1-1 from the rebound after his shot was blocked by Washington Arubi from the penalty spot in the 66th minute.
It was then end-to-end stuff with Mnyamane hitting the side-netting from a free-kick in the 73rd minute and almost immediately at the other end, Bernard Parker hit the crossbar after being set-up by Nurkovic.
The momentum was the hosts in the closing stages and they were awarded a penalty after Siyabonga Ngezana was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box and Mnyamane converted the resultant penalty to seal Tshakhuma’s 2-1 win.
