Swallows FC have confirmed the signing of veteran defender Tebogo Langerman on a one-year deal.
The 35-year-old defender joins Swallows as a free agent having been released by Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of last season.
“Welcome Tebogo Langerman To the Birds Nest. Mr Langerman joins the Birds on a 1 year plus option working agreement,” read a tweet from Swallows on Monday.
Langerman joined Sundowns nine years ago from crosstown rivals SuperSport United and went on to win six league titles at Chloorkop as well as the CAF Champions League and Super Cup during his spell with the club.
According to insiders at Chloorkop, the defender is likely to be joined by Jody February, Katlego Mohamme and Keletso Makgalwa from Downs.
The Dube Birds begin their 2021/2022 season with an MTN8 quarter-final clash against Orlando Pirates on Saturday afternoon.
