Former Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa has confirmed his appointment to join the Egyptian national team coaching setup.
De Sa has since resigned at Cape Town All Stars to join former Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Queiroz as part of a new-look Pharaohs technical team.
Queiroz was recently unveiled as the new coach of the Egypt national team to replace the outgoing Haddam Badri.
The duo had previously worked together in South Africa between 2000 and 2002 and then again at the Portugal national team for the 2010 World Cup.
“Yes, I have resigned,” De Sa told Kickoff.com.
“I am leaving on Monday to join up with the Egyptian national team.
De Sa will be joined by legendary defender Wael Gomaa, Essam El-Hadary, Mohamed Shawky, Diaa El-Sayed and former Zamalek coach Mohamed Salah, in Queiroz’s coaching staff.
