Hollywoodsbets Sharks scored seven tries in a 45-0 victory over Munster in Saturday’s United Rugby Championship (URC) game in Kings Park stadium, Durban.
Phepsi Buthelezi and Luan Giliomee crossed to help the Sharks to a 12-0 lead and then second-half tries from Phatu Ganyane, Emile van Heerden, Le Roux Malan and Makazole Mapimpi completed a humbling evening for the Irish province.
The Sharks sent a warning shot within the opening five minutes by dominating the Munster scrum, and that trend continued throughout the match.
Both teams had several handling errors, which could be pinpointed to the high humidity level (81 percent), but the Sharks were more clinical at set-piece and converting their opportunities into points.
The win boosts the Sharks chances of pushing for a play-off spot, but for Munster, the defeat makes their task a bit tougher to finish in the top four.
The Sharks are at home to Cardiff in their next match on Friday, while Munster will hope to bounce back when they continue their tour of South Africa by taking on the Bulls in Pretoria next Saturday.
