Sekhukhune United parted ways with head coach Eric Tinkler and his technical team following a poor run of results in their Betway Premiership campaign.
Fullview understands both parties agreed to part ways after agreeing on a settlement fee. The club is yet to issue an official statement.
With six games left in the season, former Free State Stars striker Paulos Masehe will take over as an interim coach until the end of the season. The club has recently appointed Walter Steenbok as Director of Football Strategy.
Babina Noko declared that their target this season was to finish in the top three and qualify for the CAF inter-club competition. They started the season like a house on fire but faded along the way.
He has guided the club to 16 wins, 12 draws and 10 losses. They were also eliminated from the Nedbank Cup which would have given them continental football passage.
Currently, they are placed fifth on the table with 38 points, four less than third-placed Kaizer Chiefs who have two games in hand.
Babina Noko will travel to the Western Cape in their next assignment for a league clash against Stellenbosch FC on Friday.
Tinkler joined the club last year, replacing Lehlohonolo Seema, and guided Babina Noko to a fourth-place finish.
Tinkler, 54, has taken charge of 354 matches in the South African top flight from his first job as caretaker at Wits University in 2007. He also coached Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United, Chippa United and Maritzburg United with two cup successes and a second-place finish in the league with City in the 2021-22 season.
