TS Galaxy have mutually parted ways with the head coach Adnan Beganovic following a string of poor results in the Betway Premiership.
Fullview understands that the has been a growing concern over string of poor results, which ultimately led to the decision.
“TS Galaxy FC has parted ways with Coach Adnan Beganovic and his Technical Adviser, Nermin Basic following a string of unfortunate results in the Betway Premiership,” the club stated.
“They both made a huge contribution to our Club in a very short period. We thank both coaches for their professionalism, commitment, hard work and wish them well in their future endeavors.”
The club legend Bernard Parker will take over on an interim basis for the remainder of the season, including the upcoming Nedbank Cup final.
Galaxy suffered their fourth consecutive league defeat after falling to Richards Bay FC in their own backyard at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
The result extended the Rockets’ alarming winless streak in the league to 10 games, a dismal run that includes nine defeats and just a single draw. This slump has left the club hovering dangerously around the relegation zone in 12th position, sitting just six points ahead of Orbit College FC, who currently occupy the demotion cut-off point.
Beganovic saw two key players leave in the January transfer window, with Khulumani Ndamane signed by Mamelodi Sundowns and Puso Dithejane joining Chicago Fire.
He has also had to contend with a FIFA transfer ban imposed on Galaxy because they owed players money. Ironically, he also left this club this weekend at Chabab Belouizdad of Algeria, who he took to the African Confederation Cup semifinal.
