The murder case of media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has been transferred to the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg for trial.
Stock was brutally murdered in the Johannesburg CBD in December last year.
At the time, reports indicated he was involved in security-related operations, including evictions, when an unknown gunman approached and opened fire.
Victor Majola believed to be the mastermind, and Armando Pacula accused of carrying out the fatal shooting, appeared briefly in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.
The two accused face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in what investigators believe was a targeted hit.
State Prosecutor Vincent Mochabela confirmed to the Johannesburg Magistrates Court that the state’s investigation is now entirely complete, paving the way for trial proceedings.
The court confirmed that the case would now proceed in the High Court, with a pre-trial date set for 18 June 2026.
Both accused will remain behind bars.
The transfer of the matter to the High Court signals that the case has now entered a more advanced stage, with pre-trial processes expected to clarify the charges and evidence ahead of a full trial.
Meanwhile the extortion and money laundering case against Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and his co-accused is scheduled to resume at the Delmas Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, following the National Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA) decision to re-enroll the matter.
