The trial against the man accused of murdering Nosicelo Mtebeni is set to begin on Monday.
Alutha Pasile faces charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
He was arrested in August this year.
This followed the gruesome discovery of two bags containing the body parts of his girlfriend, Mthebeni.
The bags were found at a dumpsite close to a house she shared with him and others.
