The newly crowned Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates have officially confirmed changes to their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Fullview understands the club signed four new players as they look to strengthen their squad for next season, while also confirmed the departure of five squad members whose contracts have come to an end.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm the departure of five players following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season,” the club announced on website.
“The players who will be leaving the Club upon the conclusion of their respective contracts are Bandile Shandu, Sipho Mbule, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Karim Kimvuidi and Deivi Miguel Vieira (Gilberto).”
“Each of the players departs having contributed to the Orlando Pirates journey in their own way, and the Club would like to place on record its appreciation for their service during their time with the Buccaneers.”
“Orlando Pirates Football Club thanks Bandile, Sipho, Tshegofatso, Karim and Gilberto for their service and wishes them all the best in the next chapters of their respective careers.”
Fullview learnt Mbule could be playing in the Betway Premiership next season with Siwelele FC.
Mbule made 23 appearances for Pirates across all competitions, playing an important role in the Buccaneers’ lifting both the MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cup trophies.
Mabasa has been heavily linked to Kaizer Chiefs as a free agent ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile Cedric Kaze is expected to be unveiled as Sekhukhune United’s new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season after reaching an agreement with the club.
